Well I liked the Vid. Many thoughts raced thru my mind as I watched the race. One right off, I thought.. 'How wonderful to watch a Team Race' .. whether against another Crew or Crew members racing. One thing that came to mind was the 'learning skills' that can be gained in watching a 'hosted' race. Watching an 'overtake' being executed...and explained in detail.. of what was going on. On another thread Yuap gave an excellent ..detailed version of his 'skills'.. I tried it.. it works. Many thanks. AS FAR as I'm concerned.. even 'fouls' can be laid down.. and examined as to what was considered.. 'over -aggressive' .. 'over-take'.. lol. Reasons given.. from what I have watched.. and learned.. 'inside / braking... coming up on a turn'.. trying to 'overtake'.. well it would seem most Vet Racers would be there a tad toooooo aggressive.. and the one on the outside 'Gives Way' to the 'agressor' being the Novice and trying to race in the Gentleman's fashion. Come on.. in agressive Random racing ..it was so easy to take the inside.. bump the outside driver.. if he didn't give way.. spin him sideways.. drive him sideways for a tad.. then peal around the to the way side of the road. The ONLY DIFFERENCE i SEE.. is in the Novice.. he has luck.. where as the skilled Vet Driver.. can execute that 'over-take' and has the skills not to bump someone. But it is there where the dis-agreements start. I see, here to learn in 'Vids of Racing' and would enjoy watching them. I believe I can learn something here. I would also like to the racers names.. either above or in some tab.. so I can keep track of 'who's who?' One other thing that came to mind... racing blind.. in uncharted territories.. I thought of how wonderful to 'review the race'.. before you race it. One race on one particular track would seem as if you if it took that one race.. Just to learn the over-all layout. It woudl be nice to review certain races before you race them. I got that feeling watching the vids. As for me.. I enjoyed watching it.. and would watch more.. especially if I was in the race. Thanks Jeanne (keep in mind.. my thoughts and replies.. are more of a 'stimulus to add fire to the conversation... and to allow rebuttles to gain future insight)

Racing with friends?! KiEr Est 1995 would be straight off my list after that finishing maneuver, lol.
Nice race. Would lose a few CPs myself....
One thing that I never get with these race vids I see, that camera movement on corners, swinging it up and round. Is that for the purposes of filming or do a lot of people do this in races? Throws me right off. I get that you can see the apex and the road ahead as you turn in but it disorientates me massively, where car and camera are pointing very different directions. Dude, it's even more pronounced on Out of Harmony, made me feel a little ill, lol.

Cuz, I dont move my camera at all whether filming or not...it really messes me up as well, so much so that the automaticcamera movement you get when you hit the ebrake annoys the hell out of me.
Surfer, if you check out my youtube channel (which I am not advertizing at all) I have close to 400 racing videos both with and without competitors your welcome to analyze to your hearts content. The recent one from the xbox event named R1Sandy Shores shows multiple examples of my giving way to an unseen driver overtaking me on the inside just as I explained in that other thread. I was aware that they were there and in a faster car and simply gave up the position rather that cause a wreck.

Dude, it's even more pronounced on Out of Harmony, made me feel a little ill, lol. Usually the camera adjustments are just what I'm used to doing when racing, I usually move the camera over to get a better vision of the turn. And I've also noticed that the automatic camera doesn't stay very still, but bumps alow back and forth, especially on the firt roads. It's mostly friends, but a few randoms. Wasn't a big fan of what he did myself either, obviously, but wasn't much to do about it. If anything it makes for a dramatic and unexpected ending to the video The more I watch it, the more impressed I am with how well executed his move his compared to most bashers that wont even bother to go in the racing direction, so I'll give him that... I'll have a look at the CPs as this race have remained relatively unchanged since I created it, and you might be correct that there are some redundant ones. It's always felt very right to me though, but a little revision never hurts ;-) As for the camera movements on OOH, I reckon you're talking about the 2nd lap just after lapping, I was just trying to get a nice side view of the car, which was silly of me of course I do try when filming to pay more attention to how I move the camera around to make the movement more smooth though, I was hoping to avoid people feeling ill from a shaky camera I guess I might have to revise how I do that as well, as I obviously didn't achieve my goal, that's what feedback's for though ;-) Thx alot for letting me know :-) I would also very much recommend checking out Luaps channel, as he didn't want to advertise, because he have a shitload of racing videos both with and without other people, and alot of really great races as well!

Old job editing Fachuro, yeah I get that. I updated one of my 1st races the other day and found a few unnecessary CPs, I ended up bringing down to 27 from 33, quite a lot! I imagine there's more where that came from. The main thing I felt about yours were that there were some in the middle of straights or gradual bends that, if removed, would not be missed as visibility to the one after would be fine. There were 1 or 2 spots where I might've used one in a different spot rather than 2 where you have them but they weren't anything I would worry about.
I actually got into the cam movements a bit, just for watching purposes, they weren't that unsettling. Certainly something you can get artful with for the sake of video. I'd crash and burn if I tried anything like that, I hate the handbrake cam too, I do wonder how many people use the right stick in racing tho.
I do like seeing you guys in action but don't get a lot of time to go YT browsing. I'll make a point of checking some more of Luaps vids out.
