I know most of us here are either above or beyond car duping but Gills and I like to have a method up our sleeve as insurance against unforeseen circumstances. Did the old one a few times to make up for costly mistakes in uninsured vehicles and a misunderstanding with crew paint jobs. Obviously they patched that. I had a browse of Google out of interest and the new no.1 method involves buying an apartment, I fail to see the need to dupe a car if you're rich enough to go around buying random apartments.
We weren't too bothered but my bro was pondering it and had an idea, so we tested it last night and blow me down, it worked. Same principle as the previous method, different application.
Step one, acquire Cargobob.
Step two, lift target PV with owner inside.
Step three, owner quits to PS/Xbox store.
Step four, owner returns to Online.
So we did that, I came back to the same session, on the ground with my PV sitting on the road. My Brother flies over in the Bob with the dupe attatched, smashed to buggery, funnily enough. He drops it in the road and there's a dupe of me sitting behind the wheel! Had to take very weird and amusing action, shooting my zombie twin in the face before he took off in the motor.
Pretty easy to do then. I used it as a method of simulating the proceeds from a car sale I can't make because it was purchased pre patch. I'm not one for having more money than I need or chasing the really big purchases. I want to replace my Surano with a Feltzer and it bums me out that I have to kiss goodbye to the 300k I spent getting it when I could at least sell it for some return if I'd bought it a fortnight later. So I figured the test would have a purpose... Only got 72k from selling a dupe Zion, not sure if I'll go the whole hog and estimate the Surano value, I have enough to buy the Feltzer now anyway. Still intend to save up for the full complement of mods on it, because really I'm a good boy who appreciates hard work
