This race was mental. There was so much going on i had no idea i'd won or thought i was even close to winning until after i'd crossed the finish line.

Couldn't even watch that all the way through. Truly the stuff of my nightmares. Congratulations on having a much stronger tolerance to....um... that kind of thing (diplomacy mode engaged) and sticking it out till the end.

:/ Vid comes up as private when I click it here. When I go look at your channel in my subscriptions, the last upload I see is Hippy Feet. I don't get it... Hell, I even got the notification on my phone when you uploaded it earlier.

Tried to play GTA with Trak last night but after playing Mario Kart lately GTA felt like a dull, slow step backwards. Mario Kart 8 runs at 1080p with 60fps and it shows, plus if you want to join a race or tournament or whatever, it just works.
A little example from last night,

Something R* should steal from Mario Kart is the way tournaments work. You can set a tournament up, public or private, set the days and times of the week it's live for everyone to join the lobby without the trouble of setting it up. It will always be available for people who've joined it to practice when it's not live. Set the class, Vehicles, if there's items or just boosts, or shells etc it can be customised to just straight racing. There's a lot more depth to the gameplay than you'd think and the competitive side of racing on it is way bigger than GTA believe it or not lol. Google Mario Kart 8 racing tips/guides/forums. It's not a kids game.

If I was working for R* I would be straight over to Ninty, bribe in hand, asking "how the fuck do you get it to work?", we need to know! Last night. I easily spent more time quitting from shit i didn't want to do, rebooting from a litany of hangs, dc's, timeouts, network errors, etc, etc, than I did racing and that, when a miraculous connection was made, exclusively with twonks that almost universally have the puerile CUSS on and prefer to combat (race, is too fine a word) their way around the LS map in a big circle with R2 jammed fully on Mario would appear to be way too challenging for the majority of GTA "players" I'm thinking .

Lol @ the vid
What was that red trumpet box you had? Never seen it before. Is it designed for stopping blue shells? And can't believe you got a red shell while in 1st place instead of bananas all the time. Nintendo have gone far but sometimes I wish they'd just go under and sell off the rights to their games like Mario Kart and Zelda to Sony because I don't want to buy a Nintendo console for a couple of games

Yeah, it destroys everything in range when you use it but you lose it if you get hit so it's a little gamble keeping hold of it. Nintendo will never sell their brands, even if they did Sony couldn't afford them lol They're pretty much self sufficient, they develop and publish all their big games and make a lot of profit doing it while Sony have got serious money problems sony-warns-investors-of-grim-2-1bn-loss

But if they did go under they would probably develop games for other consoles, like Sega does with Sonic games on Nintendo.

I'd rather keep the companys who release products that work and don't rip of customers by shipping broken games.
Microsoft released the Halo collection, their franchise on their hardware and it's still fucked. Yet there's Xbox fanboys saying the same thing about Nintendo going under so they can hopefully play Mario Kart on an Xbox....Fucking seriously?
Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are supposed to be quality assurance for their customers. We buy a console from them and they quality check the developers game output for their customers benefit. Somewhere down the line Microsoft and Sony have forgot about this and allow them to sell us broken shitty games, Nintendo don't. Yet everyone wants them to go under?
People say Nintendo are too hard on developers and ruin relationships with them.
Anyone wonder why these big developers would rather not make games on a Nintendo? I'll tell you lol Because they have to work.

I don't want them to go under either. I like Nintendo. I have a 3DS and might buy a Wii U at some point. But it's not exactly a big hit so far.

EA and Microsoft hate them because they have Japan zipped up, but it's not Nintendos fault the Japanese don't care for shooters and buggy games lol A funny story i read about some bloke who's on the board at Microsoft used to be on the board at Nintendo. In his first meeting he didn't know how to get involved in the conversations because he came to talk money and all they spoke about was how to make sure the customers had more fun lol He says they never spoke money once. Now he's at Microsoft i bet he never shuts the fuck up.

Now he's at Microsoft i bet he never shuts the fuck up. Lol yeah Nintendo seems to have a very different philosophy when it comes to the gaming industry than Microsoft and Sony have. But I don't think 3rd party support is to blame, I believe the mellow sales for the Wii U so far are entirely Nintendo's fault. When they developed the Wii they clearly made a choice to appeal to non-gamers and very casual gamers. I know a 50-something year old priest you wouldn't call a gamer in a million years, yet he owns a Wii. He uses it for some excercising stuff like Wii Fit I think. With the Wii Nintendo created a platform that lends itself extremely well for gimmicky games like Wii Sports where you can use the remote as a golf club or tennis racket, kid and family friendly games. Xbox had Kinect and Sony had something similar as well I think, but with the Wii it's the core of what their console was. This made it very tough for 3rd party developers to create anything for their console. I can't even imagine GTA IV on the Wii. They attracted a lot of casual gamers at the cost of more 'hardcore' gamers. But these casual gamers aren't suddenly loyal to Nintento and a lot of them don't see any need to buy the Wii U. Why should they, they don't know or care about all that gaming stuff. They just want a relatively cheap machine to do some excercising, something their grandkids can play games on when they visit, something they can use for simple games when they get bored like they play Flappy Bird or Angry Birds on their phone. And they already have that machine, the Wii. So they won't upgrade, and Nintendo has seen a lot of serious gamers depart for greener pastures so they won't buy the Wii U either. That leaves Nintendo with a very narrow player base. That's just how I see it though. I love Nintendo but it appears to me like they mainly tried to replicate the success of the Wii instead of thinking of a new concept. Of course when a Skyrim-scale Pokémon RPG hits the Wii U I will be buying one but I'm lame like that. :]
