Quick question on created races. Most races tend to be run on Standard these days, rather than Non-contact. So I'm wondering how people feel about small grids - if the race is on Standard with a small grid then all cars are practically touching one another from the start, which can increase the risk of early-race carnage. But obviously a medium grid means people further back in the grid have a slight disadvantage (hence the small grid glitch). I'm leaning towards using the small grid glitch only on races that are best run on Non-contact, while sticking with a medium grid if it's likely to be run on Standard. Thoughts?

I only small grid glitch if I'm trying to stick a starting line into a place where it wouldn't otherwise fit.

Place a small grid, bikes only ofc. Save race. Exit creation. Load race. Change grid to medium in race settings, open the available vehicle menu and tick everything, then set default vehicle to whatever you want. Monster trucks are funny. Not sure if this process works with previously published jobs or not...
I use small grids like Coach sometimes, can't get a normal one in. I'll never use them on a 'sensible' race but my boundaries on that are quite narrow. A short muscle car race/0.62 or many other types, I might well go small. Depends how many drivers and who they are but I've had quite a lot of clean(ish) small grid starts in contact racing. In a way, it sharpens people up and makes them more careful. In another way, you're so tightly bunched that it's difficult to spin out anyway, lol.

Place your grid and CP's (using small grid), name the race and give it a description, SAVE the race, then go into race details and change grid type to standard/large. It is at THIS POINT that you should select the relevant vehicle classes/restrictions. This will not work on an already published race.

I only use the small grid glitch where I cant fit a 30 player standard/large grid in. Fuck non contact races.

SAVE the race, then go into race details and change grid type to standard/large. You don't need to exit the creation?

SAVE the race, then go into race details and change grid type to standard/large. You don't need to exit the creation? Nope! Restrict to bikes, place small grid, change back to medium grid in Race Details, open to all vehicles, job done.

Has anyone tried doing a small grid to force a Le Mans(ish) start? What I mean is set the grid to be 1x30 wide and then have it facing perpendicular to the road.
