I could be wrong but i think the most important thing is the Hertz or Hz. More hertz the better.

More than adequate Don. For console use make sure all so called picture enhancing gimmicks, if it has any, are turned off or set to zero. Sharpness, dynamic anything and especially any attempt at "motion control" i.e 120hz options. If it has a "game" or PC mode use that to switch out most of the gimmicks. Can't find much in the way of reviews for it but a lot of telly for the (Argos) money . At 42 inches you won't want to be sitting too close to it though. 5.5ft minimum @ 1080 resolution (ps4). HDMI cable tween ps and telly, obviously.

For Christmas, I got my wife a 40" samsung and she got me the PS4 bundle so it's worked out nicely. Mine looks virtually the same except for the sansung "smart" refresh rate, whatever that means. They claim it's 60 Hz native but 120 effective. Been using that setup for a past 3 weeks and haven't noticed a single thing wrong so far.
