Also, if the bug is removed tomorrow it would not change anything. It is far too late to get people to stop using the "faster" lines whether they actually work or not. Its never too late. Besides...If they did remove the speed boost people would also have alot more props to block un realistic lines if they choose too. Its easy to block off the faster lines that involves going off road, just a few park benches or trailers does that. But trying to block off every curb and side walk in certain areas just to prevent the surfing is impossible.

It's a shame that this turned into an argument over here at Red Rum Racing. I was hoping that this thread would only be used by people that actually want to sign the petition, instead of the people that don't like it and want to bring arguments why pavement surfing should stay in the game. I have added all the names of the people that have signed the petition so far to the first post. Broughy1322 and GUN1T123 have joined in tonight as well, hopefully we can still gather some signatures from your side. It's really in everyone's best interest that this thing disappears, this is the time that we stand together as one and put our rivalism aside. It's not too late for you guys to catch up. Meh... I don't really see any argument. But i can understand why some people are so reluctant to want to sign. Some people just have an addiction to the boost thats given from hitting curbs and side walks. As a fan of racing in GTA, they just have that inner voice that just pushes them to want to go faster. And this bug is that advantage that makes them faster. They have been using this for a while, practicing it and growing accustomed to it. So to some, its hard to change their perception after getting so used to it and accepting it. But i have a feeling as more and more people start doing this, alot of the Pro Sufers will change their minds. As the end result is just everyone side walk surfing all the time. For me. I heard about this a while ago and never knew how over powered it was till a certain Grand Prix event we had. After seeing that video of the event, it pretty much was a slap in the face for me anyways. Like im the moron thats been trying to go as fast as i could on the road when i should have been using side walks instead. There i was thinking it was the car, but it was the side walks and curbs that i wasn't using that left me so far behind. Lately, even i have been hitting curbs and side walks constantly. I feels as if i have to do constantly, even tho I don't want too. And the last few days, i've started doing this without even thinking.. Its becoming natural for me to seek out curbs and side walks. So message to all the side walk surfing friends of mine. Just sign the damn thing.. By Accident, i hit a really fine hooker on the side walk last night. I spent the last lap of the race in the lead with a huge blood stain on my car. And even tho i won.. i was sad. If you won't sign it for me, sign it for the hookers. Save a Ho... And stay on the road!

In the US... Pavement = the black asphalt that is used as a road surface. Sidewalk = the white/cream concrete that pedestrians walk on. Might want to consider this in your petition to a US company. Also, if the bug is removed tomorrow it would not change anything. It is far too late to get people to stop using the "faster" lines whether they actually work or not. Wait what? Rockstar are a British company. Dan Houser is from London, R* North where GTA is made is in Edinburgh, Scotland. Unless i'm on the wrong path/sidewalk (badum tish)

If we don't stop the side walk surfing we will all turn into these guys eventually. I feel myself turning into the guy on the left... Help! Arrrh!?!?

The petition is probably going out either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, so get your signatures in if you still want to! I'll keep everyone up to date about the development.

The letter is out to both Rockstar Support and the mouthoff@rockstargames.com e-mail address. You can find the Rockstar Support ticket here. I'll make sure to keep everyone informed about any responses from Rockstar. Thank you all for signing the petition, now all there's left to do is hope that Rockstar Games does something with it.

Well, it looks like Rockstar Games has picked this up real fast. I just noticed that they already responded 20 hours ago:
"Dear JeffvdW,
Thank you for the feedback. We certainly appreciate you bringing the concerns of yourself and others on this topic to our attention.
We appreciate any feedback from fans of our games. I've made sure the correct action and consideration has been taken with your submission.
If you have any other questions or technical issues please let us know.
Best regards,
Andrew P. Rockstar Support"
I truly appreciate his kind response, but I don't really know what to do with this. The line "I've made sure the correct action and consideration has been taken with your submission." gives me the idea that they are going to try and fix it, but that's only the way I read it. You can interpret it in multiple ways.
