I guess this thread could be used for any content creator questions, but I have one in particular. I want to create a mountain bike downhill race that starts on top of Chiliad. I've seen jobs that start up there before so I know it can be done. My questions are where is it flat enough to place the trigger, and also the start? I mucked about in there for 20 minutes the other night and finally gave up. I couldn't even place the darn trigger. Thanks.

At the top of the trail headed north...near the flag denoting the cliff jump is the only place I found for the start. The trigger can go on the grating for the skylift platform. There are also ways to use stacking and switching to place both.

Use the little square cash pile to switch-place the long green cabin anywhere you want. Build a big enough platform with the cabins to fit the grid you want on top of it then when you're happy with the positions just delete the cabins. The grid will start on the ground directly below where the cabins were, checkpoints will stay in the air though.
You can use any prop from the sections on the left or right side of the cabins section but that little cash pile/crate thing can fit just about anywhere.

How do you get props to stay in a Capture? Made my first capture yesterday, added some props but when you test it they don't show up

Haven't made a capture Ref, but that seems like a ridiculous bug. Is it all props you are referring to? I'll have a play in creator at some point and have a look for you.

All of my props stayed on the captures I've created, at least in the testing; I've never gotten anyone to actually play them . I wonder if this is a new bug?

Anyone else noticed the blacked out options in race creator now, I can see one is to set the rank required to play the game (although I can't change this ?) the others I am not sure of they make a noise like they are changing but I can't see what they do .....
As I am typing this it has just dawned on me the race I have lost from my jobs list, is also one I tried moving these options for ... maybe this is linked ? I can still see job in creator menu, but cant find it to host it, maybe one of the greyed out options (Which I might of played around with ...) has caused this !!?

The Improbable...one of the xbox members...wasmessing around with the level locked thing last night...he told me something about it actually working even though it was greyed out. He also implied that setting it to a higher level effects the payouts...
I have not even been in the creator to see these options so I don't know exactly what he was talking about. I have avoided it because I know I have a shit ton of creations that need to be edited to correct weapons and vehicles that rockstar fucked with.

The cliff facing Sandy Shores should have room for trigger, there is also a spot near the platform up top where it can be placed. Additionally, if you look at the path leading up to the platform where it turns left towards the cable, there's another left turn you can do onto a flat space, and slight gap in the rocks before another flat space that isn't connected to anything. Both of these can be used to place triggers. It should also work inside the cable thingy I think. Starting grids for up to 16 bicycles can be placed at the cliff, and sideways just before you reach the platform.

Don't know if you worked it out or still need to know but i just spent about an hour helping a mate with the same thing over the phone and i had take and KiK him pictures in the end. There's probably better ways to do it this is just how i worked it out myself a while ago. You can put the trigger here The grid can then be placed at certain points To place the grid on these type of slopes Use a Cash Crate to switch place an Empty Container where you want the grid, other props and Cabins work but the Cash Crate is small to enough to fit almost anywhere Make it as big as you want by switching from the Cash Crate Place Cabins on the Empty Containers and you can place the Grid on them. You can use Small Ramps on the Empty Containers then place the cabins on the Ramps to level it out so it isn't sloping if you want it flat. The start will be like this Cabins can now be stacked flat on top of each other all the way to the clouds. Deleting the Cabins places the grid on the ground where it was impossible before Hope that helps.

Yeah every single prop. At first I thought they might have been too close to the bases but it seems like there's a lot of stuff wrong with the creator gtaforums.com/topic/720244-patch-115-creator-changes/Great guide Swi. Sucks you can't put triggers whereever you want though

idk if u know u can make grid with motorbikes. Jus make sure if u want 10 cars/trucks/bikes, then start grid with 10 motorbikes, place it wherever u can fit (theres room for at least 4 16 grids, iv made), then save. then change grid size to large or med, then change allowed vehicles. thats it

This may be a dumb question, but how do you get vans to be available as a class for races?

Change the grid to large in Race Details, Coach. If you don't have enough space try this:
Create a medium grid with sports cars or whatever. Save (not publish) your race. Now you can change the grid to large without changing the position of the vehicles. This works from small to medium too. You could even change it from small to large but the vans will be pretty crammed together on the grid.

That's not crammed either, that's just affectionately close.

anal treet already published !!
The reference is to Canal Street in Manchester, where jokers kept removing or covering up the "C" and "S" on the road sign due to it being in the heart of the gay area. The council had to resolve to making the sign read "Canal St" only in the end. Just so happens R* decided to include a Canal Street in GTAO.

A similar thing here was "Speed Cameras Used In This Area" signs, about 5 in our area. The local junkies were covering the 'Cameras' part of the sign. Idk why, but i did have a laugh. U could tell just by looking at the houses lol
