I am looking fwd to it, World Cups are a great antidote to the monotonous festering drudge of posturing and histrionics that is the BPL.
A Festival of Football, hoorah!! It's cultural innit.

Our coach clearly stated that we'd need to play the game of our lives 7 times in order to even have a chance.... with that said... I'm not very confident in the likeliness of the USA team doing well. :\

I'll be supporting Abe as usual this coming World Cup.
I fancy the Belgians to do the best out of the European teams.
Spain are a spent force for me.
I expect Argentina or Brazil to win the thing though.

Belgium should do well, never write off ze Germans though.
There's always one country who were expected to do well and end up out at the group stage after a few embarrassing games. France were one i remember clearly, one of the favourites to win the tournament and went out without scoring a goal lol

Can't help but want Croatia to win here.... Possibly because I loathe that ponce of a fanboys wet dream in the yellow....
J. Cesar is still Brazils no.1 GK? Was in net for bloody QPR last time I saw him.
Oh dear, hahaha.

Lol. Definitely too early. Lots of Brazil pressure here but they do seem kinda rubbish. They're terribly vulnerable at the back and the whole team seems really loose. Mostly random up front. They're gonna need a hvy dump full of luck to win this cup.

Andy Townsend.

Well I think Brazil were a little fortunate there. Momentum will be a big help for them as I still think they look a bit shit.

I'll be supporting Holland as usual this coming World Cup. I fancy the Dutch to do the best out of the European teams. Spain and all the other teams are a spent force for me. I expect Holland or Holland to win the thing though. God this just warms my heart Deej. I wish I had your confidence in my country's ability. We'll just have to wait and see. I hope you're right!

Do you think England will beat anyone? FixedNo. I see a silver lining in everything ... with this years cup the nation thinks/knows we are shit so are not expecting, hopefully this takes a bit of pressure off and we start playing some decent football ..... "ouch" someone just pinched me and woke me up !!

I'll be happy going out at the groups as long as we gave it a proper go. The less Steve (Hollywood pass) Gerrard sees of the ball the better we'll play.

Tonight: Colombia - Greece Uruguay - Costa Rica England - Italy Should be fun. I guess Colombia, Uruguay and Italy will win their matches, but anything can happen. I don't know the English team very well. From what I've heard from other RRR members it's basically a team of toddlers wearing flip-flops, but I do hope they'll do a little better than that, lol. They'll need to if they want to have a fighting chance against Italy.

Saw last night (on TV) someone (Phil Neville) saying that the England - Italy pitch is crap. Apparently they had to actually paint the pitch to make it look normal lol

Whilst fully behind Italy tonight, I reckon England may turn them over. Not 5-1 turned over, but if England start with Henderson and Sterling I reckon they'll have too many legs for Italy in the middle, and too much pace up front (Liverpool red-tinted glasses).
Cue Hodgson starting with Wellbeck and Wilshire. In that case, 1-0 to Italy.
