Tyrus is an extremely beautifully irrelevant maker of gloriously inneffectual noise. Oh so sadly true. This the car I love. This the car that's pointless. Mr. Boob, the Bifta isn't going anywhere, bite your tongue you little whelp! Seriously though it still love between me and this car. It's my fun little free roamer that I update and respray for the season (Christmas colors, Cubs colors during baseball season, Dolphins colors during football season), plus it still has the Christmas horn. I can't get rid of the Christmas horn! I could do without the Elegy, except that I've learned through the GCCC rally events how awesome this car is on dirt. I can't drive it for shit on the street, but offroad this thing makes me feel like a god. It's give the car a whole new lease on life.

I like my Elegy too. I Feel like a knob when everyone is using Comets , Banshees etc. But, it's a cool looking car, and it's so consistent and fast. Omnis may not be as fast offroad, but it's so bloody fun! Coach, take a a good look at your garage, because there is no way that all 50 of your vehicles deserve their spot more than an Omnis. (or look at getting a 2nd character). 2 characters doubles your garage slots, although you may end up getting some cars twice, so you can race in each class. But, I'd recommend staying away from that. (at least for the classes where they aren't as dominated by a single car as Sports Classics, for example.) Kid has 100 cars, 99 different cars. (2 Futos!)
Bear in mind, if you take your Bifta into LSC it will lose it's christmas horn. I don't know if repairing it will remove it, but any permanent changes will also remove the horn.

Buffalo S going to be competitive does anyone know?

Buffalo S going to be competitive does anyone know? It'll be cool to race, and I'll get it. So, it'll be competitive in Sprunk buffalo races. But, according to Broughy's testing it's about Sultan pace. Broughy's testing isn't the be all, and end all, but for a car to be promising, it can't be that off the pace on a track like the one he tests on. Has a lot of traction, and a bit more oompf than Buffalo S and Buffalo regular. So, might be interesting on a very traction orientated track. Looking forward to racing it, Feltzer pace or not. It's free also. Some sort of Bravado themed night (even the I'm pretty sure we've done so in OMW already), might be worth it. Shame 900R is supers, as it'd be cool to have them in the same race, with their liveries and all.

Now that the Spunk (I'm sticking with this) Buffalo has been released the Lynx makes perfect sense. Sure it's over priced, but we now have a perfectly balanced set of GT1 and GT2 race cars.
Jester (Racecar) 1:03.731 Massacro (Racecar) 1:04.031
Lynx 1:07.201 Buffalo (Racecar) 1:07.601

Buffalo is a balanced car in terms of it's characteristics. Great traction is great. However, many of the sports cars have great traction.

So, I haven't tried the new creator yet but from reading the Social Club, it looks to be promising, specially this bit: ".. anyone can build and share their own custom stunt courses with the entire population of racers, stunters and daredevils throughout Los Santos and Blaine County - including options for Standard, GTA, Rally and Non-Contact Stunt Races." Rockstar also added this, which I thought was a nice addition: GTA Stunt Creator Guide PDF

You can set your races to ketchup off in the creator, so we got that going for us.

Guys. Guys.
Right. You know how the creator is broken?
Shuuuut up!
The spinning thing is lol/not lol. Counteracted by saving and exiting.
Template redness...
So templates then. As noted by Kid to me earlier, templates why? Here it is, the single greatest thing in the new creator, the advanced options. Kid was banging on about how great they are and now I've got my head round them (and Deej, and Jojie) we're all wow, wow and more wow. So you get the prop you want, you go in advanced options, you detatch the camera and place exactly where you want with millimetre precision. You can sink to any depth, hence the non use of templates on this track I'm working on. You can create a lovely wall with standard old props, counteracting this floaty pop about the place business. And ofc, you can look at it from any angle you like without it moving a bloody stitch, since the camera just handily does as you ask, independantly of the prop, Just. Like. That.
Clearly, there are still bugs and issues. Shame about the lack of a post deleter. Shame it has to be a stunt race. There's still gonna be times you'll want a template. Yada yada. Still, if you look at it another way, you can do exactly what you did before, create a standard street race, but with 150 props placed exactly, precisely where you want them. For Futo's. With catch up off by default.
Seriously people, go get on that advanced option.
Or you know, just build a skylextric. In red.

Clearly there's something I'm missing, because it was full on slotcar building for me yesterday. 10 year old me showed up out of the blue righteously pissed that the final piece wouldn't fit into my 97% completed track.
I'll be back to the creator at some point, but for now I'm a pirate assassin (until i get bored with the game play as I tend to do with all Assassin's Creed games).

I saw this on the GCCC forum. - Default race setting is now locked (e.g. set a race to default GTA and host won't be able to change it) for the new stunt races (only hosted solo thus far though).
Has anyone here come across this issue?

Well when I said play different game I kinda meant one that was a bit different than you're used to. Aren't they on Assassin's Creed 67 or something now?

Has anyone here come across this issue? I came across it with the early access ones and R* ones, hoped it wouldn't be true of the non-glitched created ones. And I've heard it from plenty of other sources since :/ Uber-bad news for playing races in GCCC lobbies.

Are split CP's available in regular land races or only stunt races?
At work and can't check for myself.

Ok, so I've been able to get in and answer my own question. You can use split CPs in regular races. A cool thought I had on this is for those wide stretches of road where the CPs never seemed big enough. Now you can place split CPs next to each other so that we can race 4 or 5 wide and not worry about missing a CP. I've published a couple of updates of existing tracks with this just as a proof of concept.

Just saw this and thought I'd highlight it here for the RRR creator maestros. Even though we all know they'll probably end up verifying a garbage pokemon themed wall ride.... Who's to say it won't be a RRR pokemon themed wall ride

Coach you beat me to it. Just saw the release myself. Sounds like it could be cool even though I see many more deaths via telephone pole faceplants involved.

The dawn of the hyperbikes (hopefully) I wouldn't mind that. Granted it'll be even more fast paced and twitchy than normal bikes but I've always wanted to play Mario Kart on acid.

I need to look at all the changes when I get home but we can now select contact type in stunt races. We can also race impounded or destroyed vehicles.

Give R* credit - at least they are consistent. Yet again they fix one error but create another. Some other notes from the update: - Fixed an issue with the Obey Omnis that would cause the rev lights to be overly bright making it difficult to tell when they light up when accelerating.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in players having no spoiler on their Obey Omnis despite having it chosen after quickly scrolling through the menu in the mod shop.
- Fixed an issue with spoilers on players’ custom Annis RE-7B, Emperor ETR1 and Obey Omnis.
- Fixed an issue with the default spoiler of the Emperor ETR1 that caused it to detach when crashing the vehicle.
- Fixed an issue in the Stunt Race – Plummet where players were able to pass through a checkpoint without collecting it in the Annis RE-7B.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in the Annis RE-7B stock spoiler being listed as “None” in the mod shop instead of “Stock”.
- Fixed an issue with the brake calipers of the Annis RE-7B that caused clipping when using custom wheel rim modifications.
- Fixed an issue with the tires of the Annis RE-7B that rendered them with a low-resolution texture when the vehicle was dirty.

I'm guessing that's a bug. Why let the Sterling be used in sports, but none of the other clsssics?
Edit: Unless it's a sign that mixed class racing is on the horizon.
