I've had a habit of utilizing those in-game vehicles that just don't seem to get the recognition they deserve. Cars like the Ruiner, Banshee and Vacca. I don't see many of those models on the road, but they drive wonderfully. I understand a there are a bunch of vehicles that are easier to handle or are just plain faster than others... Don't get me started on the Entity.
I'm curios to see what you guys think of and if you have any suggestions, so how bout' it? Which car is your unsung hero?

I think it is the driver making those cars work for you man. Your beast in whatever you sit in.

That's not the topic. I'm just trying to get others to see potential in different cars.

I have several cars I enjoy driving but am not very competitive with. The Phoenix and Comet are a blast to drive and a challenge to hold a quick line. I like the Voltic Coil as well with its Bitchin acceleration and quick turning.

The Sultan RS and the Granger are both cool to drive, I also enjoy my F620 and Futo The rest of my 2 garages are the generic best of cars, Entity, Gaunlet, Elegy, Etc.

I have also been using many cars others don't use. I'm skilled enough now that I can keep up with the pack using most of the mid level type cars like you mention. The Banshee, Buccaneer, Sabre Turbo, JB 700, stuff like that. I have this weird love for unique cars and surprising people when I win.
The biggest one for me is the Buccaneer. It really suits my driving style and looks freakin cool. You should hear the things randoms say when I smoke them with it.

<<<All in favour of the Buccaneer say aye! Have to say that I'm not the best driver, my main problem is that I'll just fuck up at some point and take myself out of the race but even still, I can't generally compete with other RRR drivers unless I'm in one of the top vehicles in a given class. The Bucc isn't quite on the same level as the top 3 muscle cars but it's so close behind and such a handsome beast that I just love driving it. I find I can do well enough in it to keep me happy, definitely belongs in here, I'm much more competitive in it then the Sabre.
My other nomination isn't through personal experience but rather watching others closely. The Cheetah seems to me to be the car you want to take out in super races to show all the Endders who's boss.
Interesting, the Banshee, doesn't come out often but seems to do well when I see it. Had a run on Drift Kings not too long ago, random lobby, 3 Elegys and a Banshee. Pshaw, I thought, goodbye Banshee. Well I won (they were randoms after all, lol) but I'd been pushed hard to the line, surprised me when the finish cam showed the Banshee streak over the line behind me. Had one in SP as Frank and it really was a beautiful machine.
Finally, I often hear the Vacca mentioned in these things. I'm kinda hacked off with my Infernus, it's too unstable - great on flat, GP style circuits but in a wall, tree or building on anything with bumps/gradients/paint rubbing - so I'm saving for a Cheetah. Then it occurred to me to ask after the Vacca. Tried it fully modded in SP, running Downtown Underground in heavy traffic. Seemed a little slow but very easy to drive, would it be a vaguely competitive purchase? I'd be keeping the Infernus for speed contests. Obviously can't just take Ringtones word for it because he'd probably win Muscle races in a Picador.

Sedans. Pretty much all of them.

Speaking of Sedans, everybody likes the Shafter and Tailgater. I recently decided to acquire an Intruder, and it is really good. All the videos I watched on YouTube about it describe it as a "drift car" but I just don't see it. I can't get this thing to drift at all. Speed may be a little lower than the Shafter but I find the Intruder very competitive.

Even though everyone smokes me with their Elegy's, I'm pretty die hard Coquette all the way. I love it, I can't race for shit with my Elegy.
I've tried racing with my Voltic, but just can't come close to the Entity.
I think it's odd too that no one really uses the Carbonizarre (compared to Elegy and even Coquette...) even though it has great stats. I'm half tempted to replace one of my cars with that... but I guess neither of those are that uncommon.
I don't understand why the Sultan isn't in the sedans class

Christ, the Sultan would annihilate the sedans, glad its not there. Deserves a class of its own really.
Shame about the Voltic, I'd like one but it has to compete on the track.. Love driving it around in SP.

I love pulling out my Ruiner when racing randoms since most of them will run Gauntlets or Dominators. I love hearing people make fun of it on the start and then wondering what happened when I win or come in a close 2nd. However when racing the guys with RRR I usually get smoked because of the great increase in skill. My Ruiner looks as close as I can get it to look to my '91 Camaro RS so it will have to stay! My Felon is another car that I don't see a lot of in random races and I love that car.

Been considering swapping out my Sabre for a Ruiner. Can't say I really like the look of it but there's been a lot of talk and testing of muscle cars on GTAF recently and the Ruiner has turned out very favourably.
