Ah Ash, my offroad would be a stock Sanchez, it's currently a custom Bifta.
I'm siding with Zeros point atm, although you're right I'd have to keep pace with a custom Akuma in bike races but that's not something I've been even close to doing for a while. Dunno what went wrong. Way back when my bro and I had our 2 car garages containing the Elegy and Akuma, we were routinely placing 1st and 2nd. If we wanted to boost our balances we'd just race and mush everyone. Was just after I joined RRR that I remember starting a session with 6 bike wins in a row in random lobbies. Then I guess I didn't race bikes very often for a bit and just lost it. Haven't been able to do a thing right on it since. I reckon if I go back to stock and simply stay on it'd go down as a success, with the added bonus that you normally get on the podium at least by not crashing.
The 2nd supporting point is that the bike takes up way more room in the garage than it should. I'd happily park half a dozen by the TV and still get 10 cars in. It's annoying.

From a general racing perspective, the Bifta should definitely go, since the Sanchez - which can't be modded - is the best choice for many off-road races anyway, even against modded Biftas. Whereas in an on-road bike race, custom Akumas and custom Batis will outpace a stock Akuma by far too much to stay competitive against good, non-crashing opponents (and I'd even guess that on semi-long tracks and up, custom bikes would gain so much of a lead that they could suffer a crash and still take it).
But you said this wasn't really about racing, and then there are those specific considerations about bike racing, so you should just make whichever choice you feel like then. The good thing is that these are relatively cheap vehicles, so it'd be easy to switch back at any time if you start to feel like you want that bike for competitiveness' sake in motorcycle races.

I like this thread since I got my 10 car garage I've been working on the perfect setup to have a fast modded car for each race type (that I actually race in, some I don't care to and left out) Here's something interesting for ya. Everyone chooses the Akuma over the Bati because of it's sick acceleration and comparable stats on the rest of them to the Bati, why doesn't anyone choose the Voltic over the Entity for the same reason? If you look at the stats they are very close, and almost identical to the Akuma - Bati. I have both, and love my Voltic but never have much success in races with it. Although that could be just because I don't have much success regardless of my car lmao, you guys are just better than me. (I have entity and voltic, most times I do better with entity in races) For sports, I love my Coquette. The RH8 is definitely better for handling, but I love how the vette drifts around turns just like it does IRL at the track (raced my dad's z06 a few times, and it's somewhat comparable...closest I can get until I can afford my own!). And the Vette eats just about anything off the line and in the straights... looks / sounds damn sexy I use the Bati because even though it's clearly modeled after the Ducati it reminds me of my R1 that I was forced to get rid of last year and so the recurring theme is...that I live vicariously through this game since poor decisions IRL lolol Blista is best for off road, by far. I laugh when ppl choose dirtbikes, because they always run into my and go flying. smh I have a pimped out Tailgater, but I've only done one or two sedan races. I win them, but that's just because most people don't usually have a modded sedan in their garage lol Muscle I like the Dominator just because of the customization options, and as you could probably guess... reminds me of my Mustang I totalled a while back Monroe clearly for sports classic, bifta (maybe? I think that's the name) compact, sentinel xs coupe (not the best but I likes it )

These are really good points and the main reasons I'm having a hard time choosing. I'd done a fairly good job of persuading myself the Akuma was going but you've done an equally good job of persuading me otherwise, lol. I had the bike out last night and after crashing it a few times had more or less drawn a line under it. Then I won a race on it.... Hmmm. Nice reminder about the expense tho, puts it more in perspective for me. I'll just make a snap decision and be done with it for the time being, hehe. Bit of a pain that the Bifta can't be sold.

I would suggest not being too disheartened by bike crashes. I crash so much myself it's almost unbelieveable, but it's still very nice to have that quick bike when a race comes up with the crew or other strong opponents, as well as if you ever do a bike race against randoms.

Also nice to have a fast bike to hit the jumps and half pipes as it goes.... As much as I like the idea of having a better garage pic with the bike gone, it's looking like the Bifta will be making way atm. Just to re-emphasize how this is not a racing decision, I'm replacing it with a Buccaneer.....
