Yo,
just trying to gauge whether there would be enough inteeest in running a short, say 4 weeks, friendly, competitive series? I miss the excitement and racing from the original crowex series and I would love to try to replicate something similar.

That was a disaster. I'm talking about the original. C'mon, you know it would be fun.

these things are a bastard to organise, you thinking of running it solo or getting some of us to help you? I think thats where speeds suffered with crowex season 2, putting all the work and pressure on his own shoulders. Even the simple things that Ive hosted in the past are really stressful, even keeping track of who was there can be difficult, points tables are a pain in the arse (maybe your spreadsheet skills can help that), finding the right tracks way in advance, letting everyone know so they can practice, its all just a chore and thats before you even get to the actual night and everybody is late, traks cooking sausages, Senior starts bombing everyone on the grid and worth gets DC on the first lap! xD
I think thats why they can and have often ended in stressful situations. I like the idea of it, and would be willing to help with it etc. but only if we can make it better than before, if not the casual racing we do every night leaves me happy enough to be honest.

My previous comment sounds rather rude now. I didn't mean it was awful in that respect. i know it's gonna be a bitch to organise and if I had enough Yes' I was gonna ask for help from fellow rummers. Cheers Kid and others for the offer. Unfortunately for you guys, I'm gonna take you up on it. I didn't particularly want to bear all the work and was gonna ask someone to co-host with me. I know you're shit hot at knowing all the good tracks and all the new ones. Preferably, and I know it's a big ask, but I wouldn't mind a couple of newly created tracks that are going to be dedicated for this to help with any hype I can create. That's what the original crowex had got going for it - HYPE HYPE HYPE. With tracks built purely for it. Whether that hype can be replicated this late in the day....we'll see. I'm going to seriously sit down this weekend with a pad and paper so I can present some ideas. Ideally, I'd like as many people's opinions on what will work best. I'd like to keep the TEAM aspect if I can, but try and mix it up.

Lateness...it should be in our motto. However, I'm going to take stance and be quite strict with this.

whats the latest on this? I think we should do it in supers, such an interesting class now and so many sort of evenly matched cars. IMO I think we should also seed the drivers and give the faster guys slower cars to make the racing more interesting for everyone.

I dint like the idea of being seeded, sorted or ranked in any way to be honest and I would cheat like crazy if seeding was based on a qualifying event to get that RE7. It would ruin my carefully nurtured delusion that certain Dubses, kidses and add your name heres, only ever beat me constantly by being unnaturally lucky as I am actually THE GREATEST AND FASTEREST PRO GTA'ER EVER!.

Lateness...it should be in our motto. However, I'm going to take stance and be quite strict with this. Being strict on start times is a good idea but obviously carries the risk of people being *slightly* late and missing the race. How about you require everyone to be in the pre-lobby 15 minutes before the race start time and if anyone is late for that, they get moved to the back of the grid?
