I have RDR but never played it. Mrs T ended up totally monopolising the game so have only seen wee bits of it. Don't really see the big draw myself. Explain it to me please.

It's a badass western that hit every note perfectly. The story was great. The gun play was as tight as anything I've played. And I loved the weapons, no spray and pray or masive explosive spamming. What's Mrs. T's PSN ID, maybe you can watch while she rides the outlaw trail with us?

Her PSN ID is ifktu_upleb (and she will if I publish her real one here).

Can horses be modified?. Do they handle like real ones, i.e more or less go where the fook they like at a speed they like because, after all, it has a bloody mind of it's own?. Do they chuck you into a pile of fresh doggy doo doo first opportunity they get, laugh at you and then post the pic on Facebook just for lols?. That's my honest experience with irl horseys.
P.S I don't like racing compacthorses either.

I loved RDR on the PS3, played it to completion, thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I went back and played RDR on the PS3 about... 9 months, maybe a year ago, and I was really surprised by how quickly I got bored. I thought to make it more interesting I would restart the story, but even that didn't last long and I was bored again. I attribute this change 100% to GTA V/Online really warping/skewing my vision or expectations on what make 'a great game,' added to the fact I am drawn much more to online Co-op games these days too as well and RDR was never something I played online (although I hear from the D12 that it was really good) and im not sure how much it would have interested me anyway; was it mainly Deathmatches and stuff? However, Im ready and hoping that I'll enjoy this new RD as much as I did Revolution for the first time on PS3! Fingers crossed!

Expectations, hype and gaming itself has come along way since then, for its tome it's was fuckin quality though.
Had the RD series been erased from our memories and be released now, it would be average at best. IGN might even give it a 9/10! The horror!
Rockstar are probably one of the best at successfully building on a franchise though, so i have faith this next RD will leave me drenched.

Played Revolver when it was released and thought it was pretty awesome but missed the open world. Absolutely loved Redemption the first time through, couldn't really get into it after. I've only played online for a really short time. Spawned in with my donkey, loved my donkey. Short fat Mexican comes along, pulls me off and steals my donkey. I'm in the middle of nowhere and with zero donkeys.

Best multiplayer gaming experience I had. Of course, running with the top hardcore crew in the world helped. Lots of bag games and deathmatches kid yes, the 4 player coop levels were a hoot too.

Man that's annoying. A year and likely more of poxy hype. How much pre-advertising does a game need ffs?.

Year down the line, I will probably be getting it.
I wonder what features it'll retain from GTAV/O
Creator? Shark cards? Free Aim Assisted?

Looks like they're putting serious effort into the online part if they're advertising it already. Trailer tomorrow! I'm actually surprised they're calling it "Red Dead Redemption 2". I was expecting something like Red Dead Revolution.
