I think you misunderstood my point Luap. I wasn't saying that other cars can't hold their own in the category. But between drivers who achieved absolute mastery in their respective cars, and are doing a perfect line with absolute precision on every lap, every time. (Hypothetical) These are the cars I'm certain would be getting the best laptimes. More then one car in a category just means I'm uncertain which one would get it.
The point is not to say that everyone will be doing way better in one car over another, but if you are going to spend thousands of hours learning how to master a car, these are the ones that you would benefit the most from mastering. The dominator and the gauntlet would be close in muscle, but they would never be able to achieve the best possible lap time on average over 20-30 different tracks. It would be either the Blade or the Ruiner.
And yes, I know you do extremely well with the Dominator, and I'm horrible with it, and that is an individual measurement. You would probably also beat me pretty bad if I was in the Blade or the Ruiner, but that is simply because you have already learned how to drive extremely well in the Dominator. I haven't learned how to drive the Blade or the Ruiner that well. And your Banshee as well, you're extremely good with that car, if I was as extremely good with my Massacro as you are with your Banshee I would however beat you every time, but I'm not. These are just simply the facts.
Oh, and if you didn't notice this is actually an extremely big compliment on your side. It says the reason you're beating me alot in those classes is simply because you are a much better driver, not because you are driving a better car, because in fact I'm driving the better car and I still lose unless the track largely favour the Massacros speed. Can you please just take this for what it is?

I'm pretty certain the Jester is better than the Feltzer. I'm not even convinced that it's inferior to the Massacro but having never driven the latter, I can't really compare. Be interesting to see how it does in the GP series proposed by Lewis, I'd bet on it dominating without those other 2 in there....
We ran some fairly intensive coupe tests last night. Felon v Ex v Zion. There really isn't much in it at all, it's fantastically tight. Best lap times all consistently in 1.04 on the track we were using. Thought was that the track did favour the Felon a little, short with a decent straight. No question that the Zion is more responsive in the turns but does lack a little edge in raw speed. Exemplar a marginal 3rd. Although it is worth mentioning that I beat Fnords Ex in my Felon, he could normally beat me using an inferior class, let alone car.... Ultimately I think the choice between these 3 would be more down to what Fachuro says, personal style. The Zion does seem to have an edge in driving consistency, with the Felon at the other end of that scale. Personally, the Felon is way more satisfying, sounds better, looks better, more fun to drive. Zion is easiest to drive and 2nd prettiest but sounds really limp. Ex has a nice enough look and sound but is immensely boring.

Classics with no mention of the Z Type ..... pah ! I would lap a pigelle on most tracks !

Also Sedans with no mention of a Super Diamond ? Route 68, The Commute and races of that type .... long straights the super D will compete, same as Adders in the super class. As said before all vehicle's have pros and cons its how you as a driver exploit these to your driving style, you can't list a best cars list as everyone's is different !! You can however list the crap at the bottom, for example Vacca's etc. so lets start a worst cars list !!

I appreciate the compliments but I feel I have gotten both the blade and the ruiner down pretty well and they have a very hard time competeing with other drivers I know to have mastered the dominator. A lot of it boils down to the track. The other day on a track downtown something like first coorporation I think was the title I was in my blade and the three apex guys all took doms because of the long straights. I did end up winning the race by mere fractions but almost entirely based on the acceleration on the last turn. It was completely balanced for 5 laps all four cars stayed within 5 seconds the whole race. Doms walked away on every straight and the blade took it back on every corner. Just saying they are really close when both are under best drivers. The only time the gauntlet fails is on top speed straights.
Cuz i would agree with the jester as well...I loved that car until it started giving me fits on curbs. After backflipping me in an event I decided to park it.
Nitty yes the z-type once they put back its stats where they are supposed to be is 100% top of class. I raced the pigally against two Z's on downtown underground which is arguably my best possible track choice in any class...and I simply could not keep up once they got by me. Pigally beats all others but the Z owns it.

Cuz i would agree with the jester as well...I loved that car until it started giving me fits on curbs. After backflipping me in an event I decided to park it. I hear that. Ran a nearly full lobby list the other day, Jester was skybound on the 1st curb of the 1st race, ended up sitting that race out and driving the Elegy for subsequent sports races in that list. It's a weird thing, I race the Jester a lot and it's just occasionally that it does this, I'm almost of the opinion that it's only in fullish lobbies and connection dependent or something. I swear it was the very 1st thing I hit in that race, in the ghost blob. One of those greens that are on the West side of LSC, those curbs are NEVER a problem but every edge was like an invisible wall. Nitty. I'd rather sit still on the grid in a Regina than bother driving R68 or the Commute in a Super Diamond. Or even a Schafter tbh...

Fnord, Adm, myself and a few others have tested the top cars in the coupes class up to the point where the minimal difference was getting a bit annoying, lol. I eventually settled on the Zion and sold my Felon. I had already sold my Exemplar when spoilers started increasing traction. Anyway, Broughy made a video last month that (among others) covered the coupes class around (of course, lol) Cutting Coroners with all top cars fully modded. His result was this: Zion: 0:58:078 Exemplar: 0:58:435 Felon: 0:58:535 So at least this confirms that we are in fact not insane and that the cars are really really close. There is a bit of a difference between the Zion and the other two, but the difference between the Exemplar and Felon is neglectable. Basically you can just choose which car you prefer and you can do well with all three of them. Hmm he also tested the muscle cars fully modded. While the Blade takes it away with stock cars, the Dominator is actually slightly faster for him with custom cars. Dominator: 0:59:535 Blade: 0:59:590 But to be honest from watching his footage I believe he could be slightly faster with the Blade. I don't think he's cornering with the Blade as well as he could. He is obviousy extremely practiced at that track so I doubt I could go faster with it overall but I might give it a shot sometime. The Ruiner was about a second behind by the way. Here is the video if you want to watch it. Edit: Hah at the end of the video he's racing NittyDon's Sultans of Swing. No one is beyond the mighty Rummers' reach.

Just rhapsody I think you need for compact, that't the only compact I have now and pretty sure it's considered the best.
If you want my opinion on everything else, I don't think you really need an Entity and Cheetah any more. I only use Elegy or Massacro for sports. I sold my exemplar because the Zion and Felon are better now. I have both but don't think you really need both. Sports classic, Ensyy used the new one that has a roof rack which gives it the spoiler effect but a lot use z-type I think. I bought the new one that was just released but haven't raced it yet. I have Domi, Ruiner and Blade but I only used the Blade once on the bi-weekly challenge and I doubt I'll ever use it again, top speed is too slow and I never use the Ruiner any more neither. But all in all, everything you have is fine. Maybe Sanchez for off road.

I'd swap out the Monroe for a Pigalle and the Bati for a Sanchez 2. The Zentorno I just hate, so I won't comment on that one. (I use a Turismo)

With the spoiler update and off road tires I'd say those are the most competitive :
Super : Turismo/zentorno Sports : Elegy/massacro/feltzer Coupe : Zion/felon Sedan : Schafter Muscle : Dominator Compact : Rhapsody Suv : Huntley Sport classic : Pigalle Bikes : Bati Offroad : Sanchez

Well I was gonna give it a shot and I don't like constantly restarting so I put on 30 laps. And then I got this time on the 2nd lap... Lol. So I had to do 28 more laps just to take a pic. :]

Who are you?
Anyway, no thanks. I didn't try to convince you the Blade is faster. But I do like to imagine you spent the whole day setting that lap.

I'm sorry, I don't have the same patience you do in setting lap times. I hope this properly introduces me to you.

what do you guys think about Oracle/Prairie/Radius?

Post by Cuz05 on Dec 1, 2014 10:55:06 GMT
Nope, nope, nope. Lol. Oracle is pretty quick up top but gets killed on handling. True of both Sedan and Coupe versions. Don't really know the Prairie tbh but I've seen it get left kicking it's heels in stock races. The Radius used to be alright I believe, because it's nimble, but now the Huntley is very dominant.

My choices: Super: Zentorno/entity xf/turismo ofcourse Sports: Elegy, but it's pretty boring. Massacro racecar feels more challenging and is very good too. Coupes: I'd say the zion. Sedans: schafter. Tailgater if you need all the handling you can get. Super diamond for straight tracks. Offroad: sanchez, but it's pretty overpowered and always wins. So i'd say Dune Buggy or Bifta is a more interesting choice. SUV: Huntley S really dominates. Musce: Blade for acceleration, Dominater for speed. Slamvan is the most fun ofcourse. Vans: Bison Utility: Sadler Bikes: Bati/Akuma for races. Ruffian for stunting. Did i miss anything ?
