I didn't want to look at the shot of him saying it won't start. I felt for him. Mclaughlin was unlucky, although he won't be trying to pass on the outside of that corner anymore. It seemed like the contenders for the win were dropping like dominoes near the end. Lowndesy, 1 of most experienced out there, takes frosty out on hell corner. Old rusty was up for possible podium until he put it in the wall upside down. They don't usually race all day for so many to be erased in the last hour. Do you think Whincup heard that radio to save fuel? He had too, or maybe lagged for 3 laps lol. I felt sorry for paul in the pits watch Jamie drain the tank going flat chat. Next yeah eh

Yeah it's no worries about spoilers SPEEDSTER0595. I'll watch a race if I know winner. But I think this was on yesterday anyways. So there'll be another replay later this week. Gonna suck next year, with Marcus coming home they probably won't show NASCAR as often here. Maybe not at all. They don't show full nationwide anymore, just hi lights. Yeah I didn't like when keslowski said he just wanted to drive straight thru Edwards. Thats video games bs eh. Like we complain about that shtt on gta, he thinks doing irl is ok. Anyway idk a lot about most drivers, but Carl gets more awesome the more I hear about him. Hopefully he wins his share of titles. And yeah I wouldn't want to be in Tonys situation, pretty full on.

But what choice did he have, dont think he would have made the podium if he had tried to conserve anyway. Lowndes was just not gonna button off and thats just racing, not sure what the enforcer was thinking with his move thou ? Bucket list has Bathurst at the top so may get there in the next couple of years ..........................

@groper17nz that'd be a great weekend. Back when Murph was dominating the mountain with his lap of the gods we'd planned for a few lads to go up mid week and reserve a camp spot at the to of the mountain. The rest of us were going up on Sat for the shootout, bit of partying and waking up to the thunder of V8s on race day. Sounded good in theory, but lol the boys reckoned they hadn't even been there half an hour before someone was calling em over for an all in between Ford n Holden fellas. Then the next morning the 'responsible' one of us, only one who had a rego'd car decided he'd avoid his shout by drag racing an unmarked cop car around a corner at traffic lights. Apparently being 3 & 1/2 times over the limit didn't help him avoid the snap back in his 20 grand car. He's slid in front of the D's into an completely empty paddock, except for 1 telegraph pole. Idk how but he's connected front on so hard he's buckled the roof (EB Falcon) It's a lot better up there now days (not as many fkwits like this go up there to ruin it for others) But I read last night that JW heard every word of every message. He said 'I could've conserved to come 2nd, or push on for the win' (and fair call to him I think) But his team were dirty with him. He would've had the record for lowest grid place to win starting 23rd. This race will be remembered for a while I think (& GL with ya bucket list mate! Tc bro ttyl)

So embarrassed right now.
I know I am not the boss of F1 so it's not my fault but I am properly embarrassed about the bloody awful yawn-fest that was the inaugural Russian GP ran on an utterly forgettable, boring, characterless track and was especially embarrassed by the blatant tv bombing allowed to the megalomania-cal thug that is V.Putin. Was hoping for a random headshot or Lewis to nut him at least. Hate to see that kind of political cock sucking in my sport.
I console myself with the thought that, via Bernie, we have at least relieved them of a considerable amount of cash to run this shit attempt to look globally cool and unlike many tax dodging companies over here and because of Mr Ecclestones unmissably high public profile, I am sure that he will indeed pay the due taxes from the Russian G.P's proceeds into our government's coffers and that they will be spent wisely for all our benefit......or not.
Congrats to Marc Marquez. Easy winner of this years Moto GP series....again.

It's always a chance in any sport, @traksta1 for the fireworks fans expect to turn out to be not much more than a party popper. I still havent seen it yet, but I've got the race ready to watch on pc. I'm still pumped from Bathurst tbh. I will still watch the F1, even just looking for little improvements by non Mercedes & RBR teams. Also tbh I wasn't a great fan of the buddah track this Russian track replaced. But I don't remember much competition there in past, unless I count lotus telling kimi to gtfo of the way for his teammate. I guess thats it for me, not the track, but the competition between 2 or more racers that make the show exciting or dull. Good on Lewis for the n respect for his injured fellow driver. But moto gp, man that is something I've been blessed to been a fan of in this day n age. No disrespect to former greats but the past 20yrs has just been 1 great racer setting an unbelievable record, only for another to beat it. Like Mick Doohan 5 in a row, no one would beat that. But the Italian with cheeky grin out done Mick and then some. Jorge and Dani showed outstanding racing. Unfortunately we lost Simmonchelli* too soon. Now Marquez breaking records with no signs of stopping. There's been some absolutely spectacular races, but every so often the favourite pulls out to win easily making for a not so exciting spectacle. Ik England is the home of F1 these days, but no fans should feel embarrassed by F1 turning into parade procession. Like when Nando & Seb were battling it out at Silverstone, they weren't really a title chance, but those few laps were probably my favourite all year. anyways I've raved on too long, il shut my hole now lol

Anyone watch the MCE at Brands on eurosport just now and catch the F1 sidecars? (I'm looking at you here Trak). The wildcard Bemsee champs they referred to, gaining an honorable 4 places from 25th to 21st, thems my mates they are My eldest took a ride through the paddock on their machine a couple weeks ago. He was not so fussed about seeing them on telly but my 2y/o was dead keen. He has his mother worried... (Tho both are much keener on the special red Brands Hatch winners caps they were given when we went up there)

Recorded for later Cuz . Feel as if I have lived a lot of the best bits of my life at Brands Cuz . First solo trip, sans parents, was 1974 (i think) for TransAtlantic Trophy bike series on my brand new RD350 Yamaha (£374?). Many misunderstood ring fingered salutes were innocently received on my way Kent-wards and track-wards by several of the 50% of bikerists still loyal to British iron who, in retrospect, seemed largely unappreciative of being easily accompanied at high speed by the grinning peace sign waving scrofulous git on a wee foreign 2stroke, apparently made of tin, that was me at the time . A bud of mine raced for Bemcee back in the seventies. Used to let me warm up his full race 250 TZ Yamaha ( rrrrRRRrrrrrriiiiiing a dinga dinga ding and repeat for 15 minutes) and once I even got to ride it between paddock and pits and back again!. Felt like Barry Sheene My intimacy with the broader racing world learned at Brands over those few years of semi involvement taught me much about what separates true racers from fast road wannabees too. After deducing the realities of what was required, I decided I was comfortable being the latter. Also seem to remember, whilst being very, very drunk, wobbling around the track perimeter looking for a gap in the fence so I could "have a go" on one week-end stop-over. Obviously, since I am still here, I didn't find one but did discover that two wheels and alcohol are generally not a good mix. Priceless info there kids. Good, thoroughly stupid times. A lot of great guys at club level too. Same risks, same bravery and with little measurable difference in skill levels than that exhibited by the pros with precisely zero glamour or remuneration, just a huge love for racing. I quite regret not doing a track day there on my last, most awesomest bike, a couple of years ago through fear of dropping it and incurring truly insurmountable repair bills. Best to use a ratbike and not a virtually irreplaceable one I wisely reasoned. Reminiscing ftw. You'll all do it one day . Glad you all had a good day out there.

Felt like Barry Sheene I had a YZ 250 years ago, a crosser though not a race tuned monster but it was still fast as hell. The exhaust spat fumes out upwards like a choo choo train I flipped it so much I ended up leaving it like that only putting a new back mud guard on when I sold it lol All usually due to this... I didn't find one but did discover that two wheels and alcohol are generally not a good mix. Priceless info there kids. Showing off as well. Alcohol, two wheels and showing off mixed together normally end different to how you thought it was going too lol You break more bones than you planned when you said 'watch this'

Many congrats to the land of the Thunderfiend for running what appeared to be a fun, well attended event that was as exciting as the previous embarrassing ass-licking Russian GP was dire, on a circuit that is already seen as a modern classic in a way that the instantly forgettable Sochi circuit will never be. Right result if you are a Brit who believes Lewis to be the most naturally gifted and fastest British F1 driver since Jim Clark (Uhuh, I go back that far ). Another fab drive from Danni Ric too. Deserves to be a future World Champ one day. Looks way better than Mark Webber ever did to me. Nowt against Mark of course. An "old school" classic track to look forward to next weekend in Brazil followed two weeks later by a track painted on to a humongous car park that will be the Abu Dhabi double points lottery Here's hoping it doesn't make a mockery of a whole seasons hard graft for anybody or any team. The day after that my SKY sub of the past 14 years will be terminated so will have to rely on patchy BBC coverage to provide my fix for 2015. Not an 'appy bunny. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to send a pointless but massively heartfelt F.U to "my" Government, the World's Banks and all the other miscellaneous delusional greedy self seeking ****s and psychopaths that have aided and abetted in bringing about this sorry state to my F1 viewing affairs (and much more besides) and above all the general hopelessness that their efforts have now made an inescapable reality for mine and many's foreseeable future...... F.U.all. Here's a lol and a smilie to sweeten the post. LoL

Just a quick heads up Trak - the last I knew, Adam P was working for Sky, and occasionally gets 'half price for a year' offers for his *cough* 'family'. He's offered them to me in the past, but I'm a Virgin Media whore, don't like fkn dishes on the side of my house, perhaps the young Geordie would send said offer your way when they next come up... You could ask him, at worst he'll say no...

Thanks Deej but Sky were going to bend over pretty hard and naked to keep our very valuable custom anyway( i worked out what we have been ripped for paid them over those years for 200 channels that suck and the very few that don't). Trouble is, with one thing and another, only losing it and other unnecessary items completely like internet, car, holidays, heating, decent food, puff, beer, fags, new anything etc will help in our "new" govmint dictated circumstances. Hate to disillusion anyone stupid enough to buy the much hyped gov.uk/media view that living on benefits is really dead cushty and that anyone not working "hard" is directly responsible for the sad state of this country at the moment rather than the tax dodging inept corporations, businesses and institutions that brought it to it's knees they are so busy helping to rebuild by subsidising cheap and plentiful labour with tax payers money, but hey, fuck you too. I originally wrote a load of personal stuff here that on reflection seems like a bad idea. OK to write for getting it off yer chests sake but not to submit...she said. Point taken. I will move on.
Again, thanks for the kind thought Deej.
And, to bring this back on topic...WOOHOO Lewis!.

Tad disappointed for Daniel, had he a better motor in his car, we would see him being crowned champ, or Bottas. Either way it wouldnot have been this easy for Hammy, or Nico. Its like Brawn GP all over again. Cant wait until next year. Honda Mclaren again to put that bloke Lewis where he belongs. ESPNF1 are really dramatizing the double points in Abu Dhabi, seems as though this Championship is already scripted. Gutted for Marussia and Caterham, especially Caterham, I won 4 Drivers Championships and 3 Constructors titles with them in F1 2011 before i made the jump to Williams. Damn Heikki couldnt get us the fourth constructors title over Red Bull in the first season

didnt know where to post this, dont even know if it was legitimately Paul Walker's and Roger Rodas's garage, but it has a car from Fast 5 so it must be. Pretty cool garage walk nonetheless, would love to have a garage like this, minus some Mustangs, instead of a garage full of exotics.

Bucket list Brands Hatch GP or Indy. Love playing racing games on the 1st-2nd corner section. Sets up a gd lap time, wont happen without committing to 1st apex. Id tap brakes early outside braking zone, roll down to early apex clipping inside right side of track, early gas all the way down, drifting across to outside at lowest point (right off onto grass/sand if get it wrong) still flat throttle to virtually latest braking zone (reminds me of braking top of spa) ANYWAY I forgot how much contact there is with the little cars. I actually watched (again, I could watch it til I die) the 12 hr production cars at Mt Panorama, Mercedes were lethal all day, but Mclaren and Ferrari were able to stay in mix. I'm thinking that reminds me of GP racing, but watching these seems more accurate of our GPs. The 12hr, its definitely how we'd want to drive though. SATURDAY morning here, this idiots thinking "not many people showing up for final round of RRR GP" Im not keen or anything like that guys, just wanted to race it 24 hrs earlier than scheduled lol. Oh well 6pm now, see ya's In @13+ hours

Great stuff in great cars on a great circuit there Dam . This week-end, of course, sees the final round of the F1 championship being run at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi. As expected, the Mercs of Lewis and Nico are in a class apart here and typically, there are only hundredths of a second between them based on practice times. However Lewis, appears to be in a unique groove unmatched by his team-mate or anybody else. He and the car seem to have rolled out of pit lane and immediately hit an exceedingly rare sweet spot of performance in F1, especially in this new highly technical "hybrid" era, where the car, track, driver's ability and confidence are merged into an almost visible seamless perfect whole rarely witnessed by this avid spectator. So far so good.

Yeh trak, can have beautiful drives but I think if I was v him for WDC he has to be unsettled, to where he's not in the zone but he's pushing over the limit. As I type 1st fast laps Q3 Nico by 3/10ths, Lewis slid last corner. .Anyway @traksta1 I was attempting to say Hamo beats himself more often than others get better of him. IDK Trak this prob sounds wrong, im not saying hes gay or bats himself, I guess a perfect example is Brazil last round, during Nico pit stop Lewis pumped amazing times, but then just a touch too much. Thats probably how I seen lewis this year. Ah update Nico 1, Lewis 2nd. Oh well no more f1 quallys this year. Ttyl trak GL to all Edit- I could've said originally that Lewis can over drive the car which hurts his lap times. But hes definitely the better racer v Nico (I've a lot of respect for him too) If Lewis in zone on Sunday thats what matters, brave or foolish to back against him if he in the Happy Gilmour place Another edit after top 3 interviews. So Nico summed it up perfectly when he said he hopes the race is like Brazil, he drove well. (I thought one of his best ever, maybe his best drive. Lewis was all over him at the end of that race) So basically his best drive, and Lewis was definitely quicker that day, he just over drove it and it cost him. (Beat himself really)

I'm hoping nico wins and lewis finishes 3rd with massa in 2nd. It would be poetic for me to see massa play spoiler to the man who knicked him for wdc in 2008.
Edit: or maybe lewis pulls a Schumacher abd takes out both nico and himself on 5he first lap

Its gonna be an interesting race, Vettel and Alonso will push hard. Everyone else is hungry for a podium, they could play spoiler to the Mercs. Lewis will be really nervous from what, double points an all, Nico looks cool as ice. Or they could both wreck like what coach said, and fight it out in the paddock and both be DSQ from the WDC and Riccardo wins it

My hat goes off to both Lewis and Nico. Both drivers took the results very well and it was really nice to see that friendship has prevailed over any kind of spiteful rivalry. Both drivers have shown great sportsmanship and I would have been happy for either of them to win after that performance. Nico could have "rage quitted" on the final laps, but no, he finished the race and congratulated his teammate like a proper sportsman.
I also hope for the sake of F1 that Jenson stays for another season.

It would be a shame for Jensen to go. I was sad to see Webber go, but listening to an interview with him during the race he seemed to be really happy with where he's at. He said he has a whole new perspective now. The limited schedule and general lack of stress in endurance racing has given him a better balance in life. He basically gets to do something that he loves without all of the pressure and politics of F1. I hope if Button can't find a drive in F1 that he'll be able find someplace that he can still showcase his ability.

I was thoroughly pissed when Brawn was bought out and Mercedes sank to the bottom, he couldve won a few more championships, Diffuser or not i felt the Merc politics brought him down.

I am guessing your phone ran out of puff empty but I think I know where you were going with that. Agree with what you probably meant to have said . Obviously, I am very happy with Lew lew's result. Well deserved and possibly overdue. Luckily the ridiculous double points bs didn't make any difference to anything at all and will, no doubt, be consigned to the trash can of F1 history where it belongs. Some standouts from the year are Dani Ric and Red Bulls overall performance considering they couldn't even get the thing to start at pre-season testing. Looks as though Dan Kvyat deserves his chance at Red Bull too. Loved seeing Williams back at the front after so long in the F1 wilderness and Phillipe Massa losing his number 2 tag once and for all. Got to have been sweet trouncing Ferrari on so many occasions. And Ferrari...o deary me. facepalm*. Good luck Seb, your'e gonna need it, but hey!, the moneys still good . Big standout of the year is the Mercedes F1W05. Worked out of the box and was the only manufacturer to properly harness and harmonise the hugely complicated hybrid systems that were totally new for this year into something that did F1 proud. A year ahead of their competition at all stages, an absolute beast of a power unit in a chassis retaining enough delicacy and finesse for the exacting needs of both it's drivers. See Ferrari and Red Bull for examples of the opposite. As a "natural" driver, If Kimi can't drive it, it's shit, simples. Also, r.i.p Marussia and possibly Caterham and good financial fortune will be needed for Sauber, Force India and Lotus, at least. As in real, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Get your poor broke ass out of here, appears to be the sad message from Bernie, who is of course, rich. Super interested to see how Honda make out in their F1 return next year. Historically, not an engine manufacturer to muck about and got to think McLaren still know which way is up. And lest we forget that this game can still bite, get well soon Jules. Roll on 2015. Ah, I see your phone caught up while I was scribbling e

It did, but decided to give the phone to my little girl to watch something on sky on it.
I was gonna end with not the fact that Jenson maybe pass his "prime", just the disrespect I think mclaren have shown him with not giving him a definitive a answer of whether he will be in next year. For a driven like Jenson with his long history in F1, I think he should of rightly had been given the decision so if it was his last GP, he could have been given the send off he deserves and not the what if one that's he received.
No doubt Jenson won't find something after that is probably going to be more about wheel to wheel racing than f1 is and probably more exciting from a driving perspective.
